Wyoming Trip ~ Post #5

Here is the last of the Wyoming trip. I love that Michelle lives on my side of the mountains! I love driving to see my family with out the fear of death lurking over us. Life is all about change and this was a WONDERFUL one! :) She is a perfect addition to the family. She is also the only grandchild on either side of her family. She is already very spoiled! :) Or..well taken care of. I like that point of view better.

Here are some unedited pictures of my beautiful niece: Meredyth Kaythleen Giltner.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. ~Psalm 139:14

Wyoming Trip ~ Post #3

There is an adorable baby in Wyoming..and she is my niece!!
Before we get to the baby pictures I need to cover what we did yesterday. Michelle and Zane went into the Hospital on the 4th and they were in for a long road of labor and delivery. It ended in a beautiful baby girl..mom and daughter are both doing well, so is the dad! :)

Yesterday my mom, my little sister, and I all drove to Cody, WY. It is a touristy town with a lot of stores and entertainment! If you ever drive through..plan to stay a few hours!! There is a lot to do and see! We were going to make it a day trip and started off by eating at this really old style restaurant called Irmas.

The restaurant is also a hotel. It was built in 1903. I love buildings with history like this. Here are some then and now pictures...

Then..

Now..

While we were at Irmas we saw a sign that said the Shoot out was canceled due to the concert. What concert? Apparently The Bellamy Brothers and Suzy Bogguss were having a concert that night! I have grown up listening to both of theses groups. These are two really old country western artists..and my parents are country! The Bellamy Brothers announced that they were celebrating their 38th year as a band. I was defiantly not born yet! Their first big it was in the 70's. Suzy Bogguss has this really great song called "Letting Go". I have distinct memories of my mom and my sisters and I singing this song in the car. :)

We were able to buy tickets right there in the restaurant..so guess what we got..

We had A LOT of time to kill before the concert. We went into almost every store on the strip. We also saw alot of very large fake bison. I thought this was just a Jamestown thing. ;)

We found this ADORABLE little baby store. How do you NOT go in when you know that your sister is in labor at that very moment.

This is how cute it was...

I didn't just take a picture of this for the sake of the blog..I also bought Meredyth this. :) AND it was 75% off!!!

While we are on the topic of shopping for kids. Who would buy a child this?

For those who harbor unforgivness in their hearts towards someone who also has a young child? My mom said that people will put these are their children when they go hiking in the woods. The whistle can scare off large animals and can also help you track down your kid if they wander off. Something about that story makes me not want to take my kids hiking in the woods.

This was one of my favorite stops!!!

Side note..I'm a creationist and I love when Science and Scripture come together. :) It's "A Beautiful Collision!" If anyone is interested I have 10 Dr. Kent Hovind DVDs. :D Movie Night! A pre-movie night warm up..can you spot the lies in the textbooks?

We did a lot more shopping and doing all the touristy things. That took us right up to the concert. This is who I was standing in line with...

I am very convinced in my mulit-gernernational and multi-cultural experiences, that music can bridge any gap! :) It was a really good concert! They both had good stage presence and really great voices! Very tallented people! I could tell my mom was really glad we were able to go! :)

We all put this together just in case the labor progressed more quickly than we thought. :) Pictures of the adorable little baby coming soon!

Wyoming Trip ~ Post #2

Today has been such a beautiful day! Today we hung around the house before Michelle and Zane went in to have their baby. Michelle took us to see her new classroom and she made a really amazing meal for us (Tuna steaks are very good!). I have been on the look out for decorative pillows to match the colors I've chosen for my bedroom and I found them!! In a little store in Wyoming, who would have thought! :) Never settle, you just never know when what you've been looking for will pop up!

With the house, Michelle and Zane also received chickens! They lay about 2 eggs a day. I went out to the chicken roost this morning and found this...

I felt very..Little House On The Prairie..when I brought this into the house. I was very excited about it too!

Here are some other pictures I took today before baby time!

The yellow lab is Ellie and the chocolate lab is Mac.

This is a lunch bag scrap book she received. This would also be a fun journaling project with my class! :)

Best friends! :)

Michelle's 3rd grade classroom.

I love these desks!!

The Giltner family before the arrival of little Meredyth. :D I hope she is just as comical as her parents are! :)

After we took this picture they were off to the hospital! Michelle was telling us the process of induction. Hmmm..have fun!! :) I told her to sneak fun things in..like candy! Brianna and I are going to decorate the house in pink! We were also given permission to take the 4-Wheeler out. That may happen as well!! :)

Wyoming Trip!!! ~ Post #1

Welcome to the wonderful state of Wyoming! The drive up here was really great. However, this is how I spent some of the drive.. Nothing like the painted canyons, the Rocky Mountains, and The Blind Side! :)

Michelle and her husband, Zane, have selected the Peanut's comic strip as the theme for the nursery. It is a little difficult to find that theme around Wal-Mart and Target; HOWEVER, I found the greatest find ever!!! I went to a thrift store and found a Snoopy doll! He is really dirty and was difficult to clean so I went to Wal-Mart to buy clothes to cover up the dirty spots. Zane calls him "Snoopy with a complex." :) But it's cute!

Snoopy also had purple shoes and a brown purse. The shoes do not fit his feet and I think I lost the purse in Montana. :(

As I type, Michelle and Zane are at the clinic to see how Meredyth is doing. They are hopeful that today is baby day! My mom, my little sister, and I are going to go to Cody to find a Wal-Mart/check out the Outlet mall we saw advertized!!

Here is a picture of Michelle and Zane after we arrived. I also snapped a belly shot of Michelle. She said it was a rare shot. She also said no one was allowed to rub her belly. ;) When I asked her why she said "When you gain 60lbs and carry it around for 9 months you can rub your own buddha." Point taken. ;)

Their house is SOO cute!!! I love it! I should also post pictures of just the house!
